Reitir fasteignafelag is the largest real estate investment company in Iceland. With roots tracing back to 1987, Reitir has drawn on decades of experience in the industry and has become the largest provider of commercial property in Iceland. On April 9, 2015, Reitir joined the Main Market of Nasdaq Iceland. 

Today, Reitir’s portfolio consists of about 140 properties including commercial buildings, offices, hotels, and industrial properties. Of these properties, about 90% are located in Reykjavík. Guided by the seventeen global goals of the United Nations, Reitir prioritizes social responsibility and quality work in its practices. The company has also received recognition as an excellent company by CreditInfo for the ninth year in a row in 2024.

Looking to the future, Reitir has recognized an opportunity for growth specifically within nursing home development. With negotiations regarding the construction of a modern eighty-seven room nursing home at Nauthólsvegur 50 underway, Reitir anticipates this development will be both beneficial for society and profitable for investors. Other opportunities that Reitir has identified involve renovation projects within its existing portfolio.
